Why not make it your New Year’s resolution to pass details of the Helpline on to people you know who are affected by Dementia?
Some examples of who we have helped this month
- A Son called concerned about Mum, she is the main carer for Dad and is finding it hard to manage. She has her own Health concerns and is feeling run down. He thinks she would benefit from some respite. What can we suggest?
- Wife is in a care home, been there 3 months. She still has not settled. She went to live there because she needed full-time care and he could not manage. But it is distressing when she keeps asking to come home. Is this normal, what can he do to help her settle ?
Who is it for?
The helpline is for anyone who is affected by dementia – individuals, family, friends, and professionals – in fact anyone who has questions or concerns and would like to talk to someone
